Estate Gardens and Corporate Grounds in Harrison

Harrison runs from the quiet downtown near the Metro-North station up to the wide lawns of Purchase and the corporate campuses along Anderson Hill Road. Few places in the county ask a landscaper to switch gears this often.

Our crews in Harrison

Harrison is both a town and a village sharing the same boundaries, and the properties inside it vary more than the map suggests. In Purchase, homes sit on generous wooded parcels with long driveways, specimen trees and room for large planting schemes. Owners there usually want a landscape that looks settled and private from the road: layered screening along the property edge, sweeping beds near the house, and lawns kept even across a lot of ground.

West Harrison and the streets around downtown are more compact, with capes, colonials and newer construction where foundation plantings and a tidy lawn carry the curb appeal. Along Westchester Avenue and Anderson Hill Road, corporate campuses and office parks need grounds that stay sharp all season. Roman Design & Landscaping works across all three settings with our own crews, backed by a 4.9-star Google rating, a short drive from our White Plains base.

Harrison landscapes we plan and care for

01

Privacy screening and planting on large Purchase lots

On a lot measured in acres, the edges matter as much as the front walk. We design layered screens of evergreens, flowering trees and native shrubs that block sightlines without looking like a wall of identical trees, then add beds that connect the house to the lawn. Plant choices account for deer browsing, wet hollows and the shade cast by existing woods.

02

Corporate and office campus grounds

Corporate properties along the Westchester Avenue corridor and in Purchase have broad lawns, entry drives, parking islands and courtyard plantings that visitors judge on sight. We maintain them on a fixed schedule with mowing, pruning, mulch, seasonal color, and spring and fall cleanups, coordinated with facility managers and backed by documented insurance.

03

Shrub and hedge upkeep for downtown and West Harrison homes

On smaller lots, overgrown foundation shrubs and shaggy hedges are the first thing people notice. We prune boxwood, holly, yew and privet to a clean, natural shape at the right time of year, remove dead wood, and refresh beds with mulch, so the house looks cared for without the expense of a full redesign.

Harrison landscaping questions

We have a few acres in Purchase. Can you handle both the design and the ongoing maintenance?

Yes. Larger properties often work best with one team that designs the plantings and then looks after them. We can phase a project, for example screening first and beds near the house later, and set up a maintenance schedule covering mowing, pruning, mulching and cleanups so new plantings establish properly.

Do you service corporate campuses and office parks in Harrison?

We do. Commercial grounds along Westchester Avenue, Anderson Hill Road and elsewhere in Harrison are part of our regular work. We agree on a written scope, a visit calendar and a single contact, and our own crews handle every visit. A Certificate of Insurance is available for your facilities or property management team.

How long does new privacy screening take to fill in?

That depends on the plants and their size at planting. Fast growers such as Green Giant arborvitae can add a couple of feet a year once established, while hollies and spruce grow more slowly but fill in densely. Larger specimens cost more up front but screen sooner; we walk through those tradeoffs during the estimate.

What clients say

“Roman and his team did a great job pruning back my overgrown bushes and replacing the mulch at the front and sides of my house. They were polite and professional and completed the work to a very high standard, including cleaning-up very thoroughly. My wife and I were very pleased with the result and the house looks great! Looking forward to working with Roman again.”
